In this course, children aged 6 and up will learn all about important historical figures and how they helped shape and contribute to our world, from scientists, activists and explorers to royalty, legends and lots in between! They’ll learn fascinating facts by completing a range of interesting tasks, games, activities and quizzes to help reinforce their understanding.
Your child will meet famous scientists from across the ages, learn of their incredible discoveries and great stories, and how their findings advanced scientific understanding. They’ll join women of history who were a force to be reckoned with – fighting for women’s rights and for the lives of others. They’ll also gain the chance to view the world through the eyes of inspiring individuals – discovering the legacies of Rosa Parks, William Shakespeare and Gandhi.
Your child will journey across the globe and into space with Earth’s greatest explorers, and join some of history’s most impressive invaders, as they moved across countries claiming them as they went and changing the world.
The course explores the world leaders, historical and modern, and their acts whilst in charge. It’ll also take your child through the life stories of some of Britain’s most notable monarchs.
Your child will have the chance to explore some of the greatest inventions in history and consider their impact on the world in the present day.
Finally, the course discusses whether the British legends – Robin Hood, King Arthur, and St George – were real or just great stories told and retold over the years.
