The Operations Manager will oversee the operational effectiveness of the company, ensuring the smooth running and strategic alignment of projects and operational deliverables.

The Operations Manager will oversee the operational effectiveness of the company, ensuring the smooth running and strategic alignment of projects and operational deliverables. This role includes managing all staff and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Operations Manager will drive the business to increase profits through strategic oversight and detailed analysis of process inefficiency, accuracy in estimates, productivity, and quality of deliverables.

Strategic Operational Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans, including the setting of financial and performance targets across departments.
  • Produce regular reports on staff utilisation, project and department profitability, and team member time.
  • Drive operational excellence by utilising Monday.com for team onboarding and project tracking.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance profitability and service delivery.
  • Monitor operational standards and quality, ensuring all outputs meet the highest standards.
  • Serve as a primary decision-maker on operational matters, providing leadership and direction to the team.
  • Liaise with the CEO on sensitive operational issues, providing insights and assistance where necessary.

 

Project Management:

 

  • Define, set, and monitor project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs, translating client requests into actionable tasks.
  • Oversee the workflow of content delivery, project administration, and ensure projects are aligned with promotional strategies and sales targets.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all departments, managing a diverse team and facilitating seamless execution of project objectives.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and inform future project management strategies.

 

Day to Day Operational Management:

 

  • Coordinate daily operations, including employee management, ensuring monthly one-to-ones and setting KPIs.
  • Manage and report on business performance metrics, sales, and financial KPIs to Directors.
  • Investigate customer satisfaction and address feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and development, including vetting applications and conducting interviews.
  • Utilise resources such as Freelancers, A.I. platforms, and Loom to improve productivity and build a training library.

 

Communication & Collaboration:

 

  • Facilitate effective internal communication to understand departmental and organisational needs.
  • Champion departmental processes and standards, ensuring adherence across the team.
  • Organise daily scrum meetings to align the team, motivate staff, and clarify objectives.

 

Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Implement and manage email automation, chatbots, and customer support initiatives for enhanced customer communication.
  • Run surveys to gain insights from staff and customers and integrate findings into operational improvements.
  • Oversee the management of product sales on 3rd party platforms and the administration of discount codes and affiliates.
  • Research and establish relationships with new partners and suppliers, such as printers and drop-shipping services.
  • Provide comprehensive project status updates using appropriate reporting tools and methods.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Proven experience in operational leadership, project management, and team management.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience in financial and performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Monday.com) and marketing automation platforms (Omnisend).
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to conduct and implement process improvements.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive affiliate and partnership strategy to drive revenue and brand exposure.
  • Identify new opportunities for affiliate promotions and potential partnerships through market research and outreach.
  • Set clear performance KPIs for the affiliate and partnership channels.

Partner Outreach & Sales:

  • Actively scout for potential partners using a variety of methods, including cold outreach, networking events, and industry connections.
  • Leverage strong sales skills to pitch the brand's value proposition to potential partners, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Continuously refine the sales pitch based on feedback and changing market dynamics.

Affiliate Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key affiliates and partners.

  • Represent the brand at industry events and conferences.

Operational Management:

Trend Monitoring:

  • Stay abreast of affiliate marketing and eCommerce partnership trends.
  • Implement best practices and innovative tools to optimise channels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in affiliate marketing or partnerships for eCommerce brands.
  • Proven track record in sales and partner outreach.

  • Familiarity with affiliate platforms like Awin etc.
  • Strong CRM capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
