The Understanding Hormones Diploma Course begins with a thorough introduction to the endocrine system and human hormones, along with a look at the pituitary gland, the structure and function of the hypothalamus, and the different roles that pituitary hormones play in the human body.
From there, you’ll learn about the various hormones of the human body and their specific functions, with each of the following being covered by a separate module. The course covers growth hormones, pancreatic hormones, male and female sex hormones, hormones produced during pregnancy and lactation, the hormones of the adrenal glands, and thyroid hormones.
The Understanding Hormones Diploma Course concludes with an exploration of endocrine disorders and how these can be associated with cancer. It also covers the multiple endocrine neoplastic syndromes (MEN), their main causes, and the types and mechanisms of ectopic hormonal syndromes.
