The Elves and Elf Magick Diploma Course begins where the elves did, in ancient Norse and Icelandic mythology, and then moves through the Anglo-Saxon history of England to Elizabethan, Victorian and modern times, revealing how elfin culture developed as an ingrained part of these periods.
In the second part of the Elves and Elf Magick Diploma Course, we’ll delve into elven folk tales. You’ll learn of elf stories in areas of Scandinavia, Asia, Oceania and within the Native American tradition, discover popular Icelandic and Faroese tales, and explore how elves became associated with children’s literature as the Victorian era moved into the 20th century.
The third part of the Elves and Elf Magick Diploma Course looks at elvish magick. We’ll examine the nature of modern Elven spirituality and discuss the various contemporary groups that celebrate the Way of the Elf. You’ll be introduced to the Elven calendar and the main holidays within it, along with the various rituals and spells used in the practice of modern elven magick.
