The Inner Child Healing Diploma Course begins with an introduction to the theories underpinning inner child healing, the concepts of trauma and the false self, and why the inner child needs healing, before looking at the thoughts of one of the most influential figures in Western psychology, Carl Jung.

From this initial outline of the subject, you’ll go deeper as you learn about Inner Child Therapy. You’ll consider the benefits of the therapy and how it can help you and your clients, and how it can address various psychological issues. You’ll discover the various approaches to this therapy and the work therapists usually do to help clients heal, as well as the specific inner child work and techniques used in its practice. You’ll look into people’s relationship with their parents, both in the past and the present, along with the topics of denial, the sliding scale of abuse and neglect, and the difficulties around blame and responsibility.

The Inner Child Healing Diploma Course introduces you to some of the most important figures in Inner Child Therapy: Alice Miller, Eric Berne, and John Bradshaw. You’ll learn about their lives, beliefs, important works, and approaches to therapy.

You’ll explore the importance of doing your own emotional work before offering Inner Child Therapy to others, including how to take care of yourself and the professional ethics you’ll need to abide by. To consolidate your learning, and to give you a real-world understanding of the practice, the course provides 3 case studies to analyse.

The Inner Child Healing Diploma Course is perfect for anyone who is interested in the concept of the inner child and its associated therapy. You’ll gain a deep understanding of what the inner child is and the different methods and models that can be used to carry out this form of therapy. You’ll also be encouraged to complete your own emotional healing journey.

Accreditations

The Inner Child Healing Diploma Course will take you up to 150 hours to complete, working from home. There is no time limit for completing this course, it can be studied in your own time at your own pace. This is a Level 3 course and will give you 150 CPD (Continued Professional Development) points.

Upon completion of your course assessments, you receive 2 certificates. A certificate from the Centre of Excellence and a CPD certificate displaying the number of CPD points earned from the course.

Many Centre of Excellence courses are Fully Accredited by the world’s leading professional membership association for natural medicine – The Complementary Medical Association (The CMA).

You can apply to join The CMA as a Student Member while you are still studying, and if you do so you will be eligible to use the post nominal letters SCMA after your name.

Upon graduation from a CMA Registered course you will be eligible to apply for CMA Membership and this will give you numerous professional benefits including being able to use the letters MCMA after your name – Member of The Complementary Medical Association. This will demonstrate your commitment to excellence and professionalism in the natural healthcare field.

Register with The CMA as a Student or fully qualified Practitioner via The CMA website where you will be asked to submit your certificate of graduation, and proof of insurance.

The CMA’s recommended insurers are Westminster global.

This course is endorsed by the Quality Licence Scheme. Therefore, upon successful completion of this course, learners can also receive a certificate of achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary, which lists the details of all the units the learner has completed as part of the course. (This certificate is optional and costs an additional £25).

There is no time limit for completing your course it can be studied in your own time at your own pace.

How long will the course take me to complete?
