This 12-Module Chinese medicine course introduces you to the core philosophies and practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including the concept of Qi (vital energy), Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, meridians, and the organs' energetic relationships. You’ll explore how TCM views illness and wellness, and how it aims to restore harmony through natural methods such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle practices.

You'll learn how Traditional Chinese Medicine can be used beneficially, appreciating the interconnected nature of the energetic forces within the body and the factors that can influence them. You will also discover how you can achieve better harmony through various holistic approaches.

Module 5 is dedicated to the history and theories of acupuncture and the meridians it targets. We'll then cover the use of massage and exercise in Module 6, investigating how each can be used to manage illness and promote good health. Relationships between food, health, and disease are also considered.

Integral to Traditional Chinese Medicine, you'll learn about the safe, effective use of herbs in Modules 8 and 9. Therapeutic properties, potential uses, and which herbs to choose are all discussed. In the final 3 Modules, the course also introduces formulations for the key body systems. It explains how to blend herbal remedies that can benefit a range of common ailments.
