Museum Studies

The earliest museum for which we have evidence opened in 530 BCE. We'll begin the Museum Studies Diploma Course by examining what has and has not changed since. We'll also look at museum buildings as artefacts in their own right. Learn about the form and function of these great spaces.

The Museum Studies Diploma Course explores the role of colonialism in acquiring collections. We'll consider the ethics involved and the topics of restitution and repatriation.
